1. Acceptance of These Terms

By using the website of Yuill, A Watch Company LLC, by submitting an enquiry about a watch, or by arranging for any service described on this site, you agree to be bound by these terms of service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms you should not submit a watch to us or otherwise rely on the services described.

These terms form a binding agreement between you, the customer or visitor, and Yuill, A Watch Company LLC, a company based in the United States with an address at Unit B304, 1167 E Telegraph St, Washington - 84780-3660, United States (US). We recommend that you read these terms fully, together with our privacy policy, before you send us any valuable item.

2. The Company Behind This Website

This website is operated for Yuill, A Watch Company LLC, a specialist in fine watch servicing and restoration. The digital systems, forms, and contact arrangements on this site are developed and operated by the developer YuiilWatch. References in these terms to the company, we, our, or us mean Yuill, A Watch Company LLC and, where relevant to the running of the website, their operational and technical arrangements provided by YuiilWatch.

Should you need to reach the company about these terms, you may write to dispatch@yuiilwatch.lat, call +13393457513, or send mail to the address above. Correspondence about a specific watch should always include a note naming the watch so our team can identify it quickly.

3. Nature of the Services

Yuill, A Watch Company LLC provides professional services related to watches. These include complete mechanical movement servicing, the assembly and fitting of custom dials and hands, case refinishing and polishing, strap and bracelet fitting, timekeeping regulation and timing, and the restoration of vintage timepieces.

None of these services involve the sale of any new watch through this website, nor the exchange of watches for money beyond the labour and materials necessary to service a watch you own. The website explains our general processes, but every individual repair depends on the condition of the watch itself and is governed by a specific estimate agreed with you before work begins.

4. Who May Use the Services

Our services are offered to adults who can lawfully enter into a contract. By sending us a watch you confirm that you are at least eighteen years of age and that you are either the owner of the watch or acting with the full authority of its owner. You also confirm that nobody you have shortened will be deprived of a rightful interest in the watch through the arrangement.

If you send us a watch on behalf of another person, such as a family member gifting a restoration, you confirm that you have the authority to instruct that service. We may ask you to confirm ownership, for example with a purchase receipt or an engraved detail, when a watch has unusual value or when there is any reason to doubt the sender can lawfully dispose of its care.

5. Estimates and Authorisation

Our watchmaking work begins only after you agree to a written estimate. An estimate lists the repairs anticipated, the parts expected to be required, the labour involved, and the total quoted price. Some estimates are approximate because the true condition of a movement can only be judged after it is open on the bench; in such cases we state clearly that the figure is a preliminary guide.

Your agreement to the estimate, whether given by email, by returning a signed form, or by confirming over the phone, authorises us to carry out the described work. Should a genuine discovery during servicing change the required scope, we stop work on that point and contact you for a new decision before continuing with anything beyond the original estimate. Work you have specifically declined is never undertaken.

6. Sending Your Watch to Us

If you send us a watch by post or courier, please pack it with great care as described on our contact page. A watch that arrives damaged because of poor packing may be noted on arrival and photographed so there is no confusion about responsibility. We strongly advise you to include a written note naming the watch, your name, and how we should reach you.

We discourage sending watches by ordinary uninsured mail. A valuable watch should travel with insurance that reflects its replacement cost, so that should the worst occur, neither party carries an unfair loss. We are glad to coordinate a secure, tracked, insured return for any watch we service, and we will confirm the chosen method with you when your job is complete.

7. Shipping, Insurance and Risk in Transit

Risk of loss or damage to the watch while it is in transit to us rests with you and your insurer until the parcel is signed for at our bench, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Once a parcel has been received and logged by our team, a reasonable duty of care for the watch rests with us while it remains in our workshop.

When a completed watch is returned by a carrier, risk transfers back to you at the moment the carrier collects it from us, which is why we strongly recommend insured, tracked dispatch for the return journey. We do not accept liability for loss or damage that occurs while a watch is in the hands of a carrier you have selected, or for delays caused by a courier that are outside our reasonable control.

8. Assessment of Condition

On arrival every watch is examined, and its starting condition is recorded so that the measure of our work is clear. We note marks, dents, previous repairs, replaced parts, crystal cracks, and any signs of water or corrosion. This record protects both you and us, and we are glad to share a summary of it when you ask.

Where a watch has been opened before, sometimes poorly, the state it arrives in can be worse than it looks. A watch with a seized crown, a broken balance staff, water damage, or an overpolished case may need more involved attention, and we always tell you honestly when a watch is beyond economical repair rather than gently misleading you into a costly job with a doubtful result.

9. Parts Sourcing and Authenticity

When a movement needs new parts we use parts that are correct for the watch wherever they can be sourced, favouring manufacturer genuine parts where available and clearly matched aftermarket parts where they are not. Every part we fit is selected with an eye to reliability, finish, and the long term health of the movement.

For vintage pieces we aim to preserve original character, and we will explain the difference between a correct original part and a service grade reproduction before we use one. We do not knowingly fit counterfeit parts, and we will always tell you if a house brand part is being substituted so you can make an informed choice.

10. Pricing, Invoices and Payment

All prices are stated in the currency shown on the relevant invoice or estimate. Depending on the location of the bench and any parts you request that we import, our estimates generally exclude and, where we cannot reasonably absorb them, you are responsible for shipping costs, applicable customs duties, and any bank or payment processing fees. These are confirmed to you before any return dispatch.

Payment for a completed service is due when the work is reported ready, and normally before insured return shipping is booked. We issue a clear invoice that lists labour, parts, and any other charges, and payment is accepted by the payment methods we advise for your job. Unpaid jobs may be stored briefly under the terms set out later in this document.

11. Warranty for Servicing Work

We stand behind our bench work. Servicing labour is covered by a reasonable warranty that protects against a fault arising from the service itself, such as an assembly error, a failing joint, or improper lubrication related directly to work we performed. A covered fault reported within the warranty period is corrected at our bench without charge for the corrective labour involved.

The warranty does not cover damage caused by a drop, an impact, water ingress through a damaged seal or crown, magnetism from an external source, normal wear to a strap, mishandling by another workshop, or a pre-existing condition we clearly identified and you accepted at estimate stage. Consumable parts such as gaskets, mainsprings, and push pieces may be subject to their own separate manufacturer warranty.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from a single servicing job is limited to the price paid for that job, except where a higher liability is imposed on us because of our own negligence or dishonesty and cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not accept liability for consequential losses such as lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of a sentimental value that cannot be measured fairly in money.

By sending us a watch you acknowledge that the outer limit of a fair recovery is the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing the item as measured at the time, and you agree that neither party should seek a windfall far above that measure. Nothing in these terms removes rights you hold that cannot be excluded by contract under the law of your country.

13. Uncollected Watches and Storage

When a service is complete, we contact you to arrange payment and return. Should a watch remain uncollected and unpaid for a period of several months after we have made repeated reasonable attempts to reach you, we may begin to charge a modest storage fee reasonably reflecting our care of the piece, and we will explain that clearly before any charge is applied.

If a watch remains uncollected after an extended period and all attempts to contact you have failed, we may be obliged to treat it as abandoned in the manner the relevant law allows, such as selling it to recover our reasonable costs with any balance being held for you. We take such a step only as a last resort and only after giving you clear and patient notice.

14. Special Cases, Water and Vintage Dials

Some watches come with risks that no watchmaker can fully remove. A watch that claims water resistance relies on gaskets, crown position, and case integrity, all of which age and can be compromised by a past impact. After servicing we reseal where the design allows and pressure test where equipment permits, but we cannot promise that any vintage or heavily worn watch will hold water forever.

Vintage and enamel dials are equally delicate. Ink, printing, and enamel can react unpredictably to the cleaning agents used inside an old movement. Where water or age has already attacked a dial, refinishing may not restore it to original glory and may indeed alter it. We discuss these genuine risks with you before we proceed and we never attempt a risky dial operation without your clear understanding.

15. Rights You Grant and Keep

When you share a photograph or description of a watch so we can prepare an estimate or carry out a service, you give us the limited right to use that material for the purpose of the work, such as storing it in our job records, sharing it with a specialist part supplier, or holding it as part of secure insurance reporting. In every such use we keep the material confidential.

You otherwise keep full title and all ownership rights to the watch and to any photographs you own. Nothing you send us transfers the ownership of your timepiece. We acquire no permanent rights to market or display your personal watch without your separate written consent.

16. Intellectual Property

The content of this website, including its text, page designs, colour scheme, artwork, and the name YuiilWatch, is protected by the intellectual property rules of the United States and other countries. It belongs to Yuill, A Watch Company LLC and the developer YuiilWatch, and it may not be copied wholesale onto another site without permission.

You may browse this website for your own personal information and convenience, and you may share a short quote from it with a friend or on a forum when you name the source. You may not republish the whole structure, mirror the site, or use its distinctive design in a way that could mislead someone into believing another workshop is ours.

17. Content Accuracy and Estimates of Value

We work hard to keep this website accurate, but the world of watches moves quickly and parts availability changes constantly. Descriptions of movements, makers, and recommended service intervals are general guidance rather than a binding specification for every individual watch. Prices quoted on the site are indicative and may change with market conditions.

This website does not provide formal appraisals or certified valuations. If we ever offer a view about the value of a watch for the benefit of insurance, it is given as informal guidance only and should not substitute for the opinion of a recognised independent appraiser where a formal valuation is required.

18. Acceptable Use of This Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful, genuine enquiries and arrangements. You will not use the site to send spam, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, to overload the servers, to probe for weaknesses, or to submit fraudulent service requests that impersonate another person.

We may restrict or block access to anyone who, in our reasonable view, uses the website in a way that harms its operation or the interests of other customers. We also reserve the right to decline to service a watch, such as one we reasonably suspect to be stolen, and in that event we will explain our position to the appropriate authority where the law requires it.

19. Third Party Links and External Services

This website may occasionally point to external services such as payment partners, couriers, movement makers, or standards bodies. These external providers are independent of us, and their own terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. A link does not mean that we endorse or control the external site.

Where we arrange a payment or return shipment through a named provider, your direct contract for payment or carriage is with that provider according to its own terms. We will always try to choose providers with fair terms, but we cannot guarantee the conduct of an independent company over which we exercise no day to day control.

20. Disputes and Governing Law

These terms and any service you arrange with us are governed by the laws of the United States and, where relevant, the laws applicable to a company operating in that country. If an official registered dispute arises between us that cannot be settled agreeably between the parties by email or telephone, we will first attempt a good faith negotiation for a short period before turning to any formal route.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be submitted to a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States that has authority to hear matters concerning the company. Nothing in this section takes away any consumer protection right you hold under the law of the country where you live that cannot be waived.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, the law, or practical bench practice. When a change is material we will update the effective date at the top of this page and make a reasonable effort to mention it to customers whose current jobs are active with us.

Your continued use of the website, or your return to us for a new service after updated terms have been published, indicates your acceptance of the revised terms as they then stand. The terms that applied at the time you booked any particular job will govern the performance of that specific job.

22. Contacting the Company
